Description

David Lloyd Tools Replacement Carbide Chisel Tip Round 16mm

Keep your David Lloyd Tools round chisel performing at its best with a genuine replacement 16mm round carbide tip. When your tip eventually wears — and with carbide it takes a long time — there’s no need to replace the whole chisel. Simply swap the tip in seconds and you’re back at the lathe with a fresh cutting edge.

These are the genuine David Lloyd Tools carbide tips, precision made to fit our handmade chisel range perfectly. The same high quality carbide that comes fitted to our new chisels — sharp, long lasting and capable of producing beautifully clean cuts on any wood.

Why replace rather than sharpen? Traditional high speed steel chisels need regular grinding to maintain their edge — time away from the lathe and gradual loss of tool material. Carbide tips last significantly longer and when they do eventually wear, replacement takes seconds rather than minutes. It’s a genuinely better system for the modern woodturner.

What’s included:

  • 1 x Round 16mm carbide tip
  • 1 x Fixing screw
  • 1 x Allen key

Replacement Carbide Chisel Tip

Compatible with: All David Lloyd Tools chisels fitted with a 16mm round carbide tip, including our single round chisel, any chisel sets containing the round chisel and the curved / bent chisel supplied in the appropriate sets of chisels.

We try not to be beaten on price — direct from the maker, no middleman markup. Any problems will always be handled personally to make sure you’re completely happy. That’s the David Lloyd Tools promise.

As the maker of these tools, I use our round, diamond and square carbide chisels every day in my own workshop — including for finishing the aluminium collars on the chisels themselves. After years of daily use I can tell you firsthand that these tips are genuinely long lasting and a pleasure to work with. That’s not marketing — it’s personal experience.
